Fun to Move@JC Parent Talk (2)
Regular physical activity enhances health and cultivates positive values and attitudes in children. During this event, invited speakers including Mr Chui Ka-cheung, Principal of Aldrich Bay Government Primary School; Ms Anita Lee, Clinical Psychologist; and Professor Amy Ha, Principal Investigator of the Project, shared with the audience their knowledge and insights on the multitude of benefits that could be brought about by regular physical activity. The speakers also explained how and why parental support was critical to the healthy growth of children. The talk was attended by over 400 parents and children.
Activity Zones were set up on the event day, and participating families were invited to experience different fundamental movement skill-related family fun games. Many parents expressed that these interactive activities have brought them closer to their children and fostered the parent-child bonds. The event ended under a joyful atmosphere.
