Children with physical literacy encompass the motivation, confidence (“want to move”), physical competence (“can move”), knowledge and understanding (“value moving”) to value, develop and maintain positive physical activity behaviours for life (“keep moving”). As PE teachers play an important role in promoting physical literacy among students, our Project is dedicated to provide professional development opportunities to inform teachers regarding the concept, and its application to support the whole-person development of students. This teacher workshop was divided into three parts: 1) Sharing on the concept of physical literacy and its integration in school PE; 2) Practical session for take-away fun activities; 3) Brief introduction and demonstration of Fun to Move Challenge Event - the first-ever student competition in fundamental movement skills among Hong Kong primary schools. The teachers were engaged in a range of activities and discussions led by Professor Ha and the Project Team.
