The online Teacher Workshop entitled “Fun Fitness” was successfully held on 22 February 2021 with over 130 PE teachers attended. This workshop aimed to share evidence-based teaching strategies with teachers to increase students’ moderate-to-vigorous physical activity (MVPA) during fitness activities in physical education lessons. Using the fitness dices the Project designed, Prof. Ha presented teachers with the SAAFE (Supportive, Active, Autonomous, Fair and Enjoyable) teaching principles for enhancing student activity levels and motivation, as well as restating the importance and benefits of promoting fitness as a fun and innovative activity during school PE. The project team also gave a live online demonstration to familiarize teachers with the use of fitness dices for students in both junior and upper grades. Teachers were then assigned into small groups to facilitate discussions about the feasibility and acceptability of the recommended teaching practices and the barriers they might have faced in PE classrooms. Approaching the end of the workshop, the new initiative “10-Mission Card” to boost student engagement in project activities was highlighted. Overall The workshop were well received by participants, who gave positive feedback in the post-event survey.
