Fun to Move@JC Parent Workshop (Online)
An important goal of the Project is to promote lifelong commitment to physical activity in children by establishing strong home-school cooperation. To achieve that, parents need a clear understanding of the roles of schools, and themselves, in terms of how to promote children’s physical literacy. In recent years, Quality Physical Education (QPE) has been widely promoted across countries by the World Health Organisation and the UNESCO. The Fun to Move@JC project has launched a series of interactive workshops from March to May 2021, aiming to enhance parents’ understanding of QPE and Physical Literacy . Led by project leader Professor Amy HA, the workshops provided practical knowledge related to health management, family well-being etc., as well as fun ideas of physical activity.
More than 180 parents have participated in the online workshop. Among them, 58 were appointed as Parent Ambassadors for completing all the six workshops, FMS tests and questionnaires.
