The Second “Fun to Move Everywhere” Interschool Challenge
"Fun to Move Everywhere” Interschool Challenge is an engaging learning tool, specially designed to enhance fundamental movement skills (FMS) and health-related fitness. Incorporating the concept of interval training, “Fun to Move Everywhere” has 28 skills in total, the number of skills to complete varies by the grade level of students. Apart from Individual Challenge" and "School Team Challenge", the 2nd Interschool Challenge adds two more categories: "Teacher Challenge" and "Parent-Child Challenge" where teachers, parents, and students are welcome to take part in different competition categories.
The second "Fun to Move Everywhere Challenge” was held between November 2022 and January 2023. We received an enthusiastic response in "School Team Challenge", with more than 230 classes and 6000 students from 15 schools entered the competition. “Fun to Move Everywhere” Interschool Challenge Gold Awards were given to seven schools where they adopted a whole-school approach to energize and motivate all their students to challenge themselves. They were: Shak Chung Shan Memorial Catholic Primary School, TWGHs Ma Kam Chan Memorial Primary School, TWGHs Sin Chu Wan Primary School, PLK Tin Ka Ping Millennium Primary School, PLK Lam Man Chan English Primary School, TWGHs Lo Yu Chik Primary School and PLK Horizon East Primary School. We were also delighted to receive seven school entries for "Teacher Challenge", in which the competition helped bond the teaching staff and incorporate a positive model of healthy behavior in schools. The results of competition will be announced in “Fun to Move @JC Newsletter” February issue. Congratulations to all school winners!
