Teacher Workshop – Utilizing Information Technology in PE Teaching and Assessment (Teleconferencing)
This online workshop aimed to encourage and increase teachers’ use of information technology in PE teaching and assessment. To encourage and support teachers’ usage of the Fundamental Movement Skills (FMS) Rater developed by the project, we showed teachers results of the assessment of selected motor skills. These preliminary findings are useful to guide teacher feedback and instruction to improve student FMS learning. PE teachers from two project schools were also invited to showcase their good practices of online and hybrid/blended PE lessons in the “new normal period”. They shared how different teaching formats and strategies are at work to cater for students' learning diversity. Approaching the end of the workshop, over 130 PE teachers gathered for a 20-minute online taster session led by the project coach. The design of an interactive virtual learning environment to increase student engagement was demonstrated. In the post-event survey, teachers reported that they enjoyed the knowledge sharing and fruitful activities, and the workshop did meet their expectations at all.

2020-2021 School Meeting Cum Activity Session (Teleconferencing)
The project team maintained close liaison with the Project schools upon the commencement of the new school year. To make school engagement a priority and their co-operation and support in adopting project initiatives, we organized an event titled “2020-2021 School Meeting cum Activity Session” with all 35 project school principals and teaching staff on 25 August 2020 via teleconferencing. As many as 500 participants gathered for an interactive, real-time discussion and information-sharing hosted by Prof. Ha, followed by a 45-min group exercise session great for general fitness and improving balance, co-ordination and circulation. Over 400 attendees including principals, PE teachers and non-PE teaching staff were encouraged to stretch and do a boxing-based dance routine together. Positive post-event responses were received from participants. They are looking forward to be provided with more physical activity opportunities for improving both physical and mental health.

Teacher workshop – Support to Promote E-learning in PE
Teacher professional development initiatives under the Fun to Move@JC project have not come to a halt despite of lengthy school suspension due to the coronavirus outbreak. While PE (Physical Education) instruction is greatly affected, our team has shifted our focus to materials and methods even applicable in virtual settings. An online teacher workshop via ZOOM was conducted on 22 May 2020. The workshop was led by Professor Ha, covering four core topics:
1) PE class arrangement (Guidelines under the COVID-19);
2) Promotion of Project’s real-time online PE classes;
3) Project e-learning materials; and
4) Preview of next year's workshop: Inclusive Physical Education. A total of 78 PE teachers from 26 project schools attended the workshop. The supplementary learning materials were well-received by the teachers. They also showed enthusiasm in using these resources to enrich their school-based PE curriculum.

“ZOOM” Meeting with School Principals and Parents
We maintained close communication with school principals and parents during school closure. Meetings with school principals were conducted via video conferencing on 12 May 2020. Latest activity plan responding to the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic was discussed. The school heads welcomed the new initiative of Fun to Move@JC online physical activity class, they agreed that the classes would encourage students to do exercise at home. As schools should get well-prepared for school resumption in June, project activities would be implemented in a flexible manner based on the preference and the needs of the schools. Feedback from parents offers valuable insight into the design of programme activities. 18 parents from 8 schools were invited for focus group interviews using “ZOOM” in April 2020. The parents shared their experience in participating in the programme, as well as their thoughts on parental roles and physical activities.
