The first Fun to Move@JC parent talk features guests including leading Education scholar Dr. Ting Sam Chan, world snooker champion Ms On Yee Ng and her father Mr Yam Shui Ng, and celebrity mother Ms Josephine Ng. The guests shared their personal experiences and exchanged inspiring conversations with fathers and mothers through a chit-chat session.
The aim of this parent talk was not only to educate parents about the importance of physical activity but more importantly, how physical activity contributes to children’s overall well-being and parent-child relationship. The talk was divided into two parts: 1) parent education sharing by Dr. Ting Sam Chan and 2) chit-chat session with all guests.

25 teachers attended this workshop to learn about creative teaching ideas and one of the state-of-the-art components of the project, the fundamental movement skills rater (FMS rater). Through first hand experiences, teachers had the opportunity to provide user experience feedback and ask questions about the FMS rater. The workshop was interactive and fruitful for both teachers and project team members.

25 teachers were introduced to the fundamental movement skill assessment criteria, and assessments to health-related fitness. Through first hand experiences and group discussions, teachers from different schools were given a platform to share experiences and generate new ideas.

40 teachers from Phase 1 schools were given detailed information regarding project components and activities. They also had an opportunity to experience project activities, including the Fun Dance, Ring the Bell, and All You Can Move activities.

Teacher / parent briefing sessions are held at project schools to introduce the project. During these sessions, a range of booths are set up to let teachers and parents have a taste of the Fun to Move@JC programs and features, for example, the fundamental movement skills rater (FMS rater), easy sport equipment, fitness tests and Fun to Move@JC activities. Over 1,000 teachers and parents have attended these sessions and found the sessions fun and fruitful.
